On Wednesday 7th November, Canning House and King’s College London hosted the second of two events on the 2018 Brazil Elections.
Canning House 75th Anniversary Gala Dinner

Canning House celebrated 75 years of building understanding and relationships between the UK, Latin America & Iberia by holding a Gala Dinner in the Foreign Office’s Locarno Suite on 30th October. The event was attended by Latin American and Iberian Ambassadors, former and current Ministers, UK companies with major trading links and investments in the regions, together with Canning House’s long-standing corporate and individual members.
7th Dominican Week in the UK

On Tuesday 23rd October, Canning House and the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in the UK collaborated on two events aimed at showcasing the diverse opportunities for investment in the Dominican Republic.
Part 1 of the Brazil Elections Events Series

Yesterday was the first event of two on the 2018 Brazil elections organised by Canning House and King’s College London. The first round of the elections on 7th October produced surprising results; Jair Bolsonaro (PSL) emerged as the clear winner - only a few percentage points shy of an absolute majority. He will go head-to-head with the PT candidate, Fernando Haddad, in the run-off round on 28th October.
Canning House meets the BGIPU Delegation to Cuba

On Wednesday 10th October, Canning House participated in the report-back meeting with the BGIPU Delegation to Cuba. The group heard from Mark Menzies MP, Chris Law MP, Rt Hon the Baroness Blackstone, Rt Hon the Lord Bruce of Bennachie and Lord Dubs.
Canning House participates in Annual General Meeting of the APPG on Venezuela

On Wednesday 10th October, Canning House participated in the Annual General Meeting of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Venezuela. The speakers included Diego Moya-Ocampos, Graham Jones MP, Nigel Baker and Cristina Cortes, CEO of Canning House.
