Connecting Brazil and the UK, exploring politics, industry, and professional partnerships.

 Agenda  The Speakers Join us

Join Canning House in São Paulo on Thursday, 21 May 2026, as we analyse the Brazil-UK relationship.

Canning House is excited to be continuing its Summit Series, in partnership with DLA Piper and supported by Britcham Brasil, with the Brazil-UK Summit. Following the success of our Mexico-UK and Argentina-UK Summits in 2025, Canning House will be heading to São Paulo.

This Summit will convene high-level figures and commentators to discuss the key features of the bilateral relationship between Brazil and the UK, bringing together leading voices from government, academia, and business to consider the many facets of this historic relationship. We will analyse the geopolitical situations of each country, clean energy, critical minerals, economic, and commercial ties, and much more.

I look forward to seeing you in São Paulo as we bring these two countries closer together.

Agenda

The Brazil-UK Summit will explore the deep relationship between the two countries through a mixture of panels, speeches, and fireside chats. The Summit will be divided into three distinct sessions and will conclude with a networking session.

Session One: International Relations

The Summit will compare and contrast the geopolitical outlooks of Brazil and the UK. The discussion will touch upon Brazil-UK relations, the shifting dynamics of G20 and BRICS, and examine the differing viewpoints on the conflicts in Gaza, Iran, and Ukraine.

Session Two: Energy and Mining, Brazil-UK Collaboration for a Sustainable Future

The governments of Brazil and the UK are keen to harvest clean energy infrastructure and mining expertise to drive sustainable growth. This session will explore the opportunities in this commercial partnership and recognise both countries' long-standing commitments to sustainability.

Session Three: Technology, Regulation and the New Architecture of Innovation

Both Brazil and the UK are renowned for their innovative tech and finance sectors. The day's third session will bring together leaders from across multiple businesses to reflect upon opportunities for continued cooperation and innovation.
