Canning House is convening the Brazil-UK Summit in São Paulo, in partnership with DLA Piper. This event will bring together high-profile figures from politics, business, and academia in Brazil and the UK to discuss the bilateral relationship between these two countries.

Canning House is hosting the Brazil-UK Summit in São Paulo on Thursday, 21st May 2026, in partnership with DLA Piper. This event will provide a space for high-level dialogue and expert analysis of all the key features of the Brazil-UK relationship, from climate cooperation to business opportunities and international relations. Supported by Britcham Brasil.

Following welcoming remarks by high-level guests, the dialogue will be based around three main sections, each featuring a panel discussion.

The first will offer a Brazil–UK view of today’s shifting geopolitical landscape, touching on major US–China developments, the effects of Russia’s war in Ukraine, tensions in the Middle East, changing G7 and BRICS dynamics, and emerging political trends in Latin America.

The second will explore bilateral opportunities in clean energy, critical minerals, and sustainable development.

The final panel will explore how new technologies can innovate and scale the Brazil-UK economic relationship, with a particular emphasis on the FinTech boom.

Throughout the day, there will be speeches and a fireside chat with industry leaders, political figures, and academic experts on the many facets of the Brazil-UK relationship.
