The next Canning Paper will focus on the predicament currently affecting Venezuela, taking an in-depth analysis of the country’s economy, and political and social situation. The paper will also consider potential scenarios and implications such as how the policies currently being pursued by the radical leftist PSUV faction will pan out; factional infighting within the PSUV; and opposition winning power –either as a result of a military coup or by electoral means in the December 2018 election.
