Today Canning House and the LSE Latin America and Caribbean Centre launched the Canning House Research Forum, to be based at the LSE.

The Research Forum is a multi-year rolling programme of research and policy engagement around the overarching theme of “The Future of Latin America and the Caribbean”, with particular reference to UK-Latin American relations.

The joint programme will consist of a series of individual, policy-focused research projects aiming to advance knowledge and offer practical insights to political, economic, social and business policy-making.

Written reports published at 12-18 month intervals will be supplemented by a series of events, which will bring together audiences from across academia, UK / Latin American governments and the private & public sector to discuss and build upon the implications of the research for practical policy.
