The Canning House DLA Piper UK-Argentina Summit will convene the principal stakeholders and commentators on the UK-Argentina relationship. The event will provide a space for expert analysis and discussion on the political landscapes of the two countries, shared economic challenges, and business opportunities.
Following welcoming remarks by high-level guests, the UK-Argentina Summit will be divided into three sessions, each featuring a panel discussion.
The first will cover joint UK-Argentine perspectives on international relations, including major geopolitical developments involving the US, China, Russia/Ukraine, and the Middle East, as well as in South America.
The second will cover joint UK-Argentine perspectives on economics and reform of the public sector, focusing on the Milei programme in Argentina, but also exploring common themes around modernisation and the sustainability of the state in developed economies.
The final panel will explore trade and commercial opportunities between Argentina and the UK, ranging from food and drink imports to large-scale mining and energy projects.
