Business continues - but Online!

Canning House CEO Cristina Cortes provides a further update to Canning House's approach under current circumstances of COVID-19.

Business continues - but Online!

As I said in my announcement on 16 March, the COVID-19 global pandemic is worrying for us all and our first thoughts are to hope that you and your families remain well. It is a reminder, if any were needed, that Canning House is not just an institution – it is at the centre of a shared Latin American community.

In my announcement on 17 March, we further stated that the fluidity of the COVID-19 situation and the latest Government guidelines meant that we were no longer in a position to go ahead with our Canning Agenda 10 Years On conference.

For the exact same reasons, we are also moving all our events for the foreseeable future online – in the form of webinars and webcasts. Unfortunately, the Canning Agenda conference was too complex to attempt this treatment, but we are confident that most of the events in our programme should continue to be manageable in these virtual formats.

Clearly, our regular newsletters will also be available, and we are additionally hoping to add some interesting podcasts from our Associate Fellows and other experts which we will ask them to record at home and upload to our website. Do bookmark our website in order to stay connected!

Canning House’s offices at Wigmore Street are currently closed. However, the team is working from home and is fully connected to you as always.

Yours faithfully,

Cristina Cortes

CEO
