Agenda

The Argentina-UK Summit will blend a mixture of panels, speeches, and fireside chats to explore the complex relationship between the two countries. The day will be split into three distinct sessions and concluded with a networking session.

Session One: perspectives on international relations

The Summit will seek to identify key points of co-operation as well as tension in the geopolitical outlooks of Argentina and the UK. The discussion will cover developments involving the USA and China in Latin America, as well as the differing approaches to the conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine.

Session Two: macroeconomic policy and the public sector

President Milei promises to scale back the state and limit the public sector. Meanwhile, the British Chancellor remains under constant scrutiny for her economic plans. This session will analyse the macroeconomic challenges facing both countries and the role of the public sector in modern economies.

Session Three: opportunities in business and trade

Argentina and the UK enjoy a healthy trading relationship. This session will provide a platform for key business figures and government representatives to discuss opportunities in food and drink imports, as well as large-scale mining and energy projects.
