On 6 August, Bolivia celebrates its Independence Day! To commemorate this day, Canning House is pleased to present messages from our countries' diplomats, and a selection of videos and resources celebrating Bolivian culture. In collaboration with the Embassy of Bolivia in London.

Canning House is pleased to present a virtual celebration of Bolivia's Independence Day, on 6 August!

Including messages from the Bolivian Head of Mission in the UK, Maria Jose Oomen Liebers, and HE Ambassador Jeff Glekin, British Ambassador to Bolivia, as well as a selection of videos and resources celebrating Bolivian culture.

Maria Jose Oomen Liebers, Head of Mission at the Bolivian Embassy in London, delivers a message celebrating Bolivian independence with a look back at the country's historic achievement 195 years ago, and looking forward to continued collaboration between Bolivia and the UK to emerge from the challenges of Covid-19.

A message from HMA Jeff Glekin, British Ambassador to Bolivia

HMA Jeff Glekin delivers a message to wish Bolivia a happy Independence Day, and to voice his appreciation of the links and support shown between the UK and Bolivia, especially during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic.
