Canning, Covid and Climate - COP26 and Latin America

On 24 June, Canning House hosted a meeting with the Latin American Ambassadors and representatives of Embassies to the UK and Fiona Clouder, Regional Ambassador for Latin America and the Caribbean for COP26.

Ms. Clouder offered an overview of the plans in development for COP26, now scheduled to take place on 1-12 November 2021; and discussed the challenges the region faces from Covid-19, alongside the continuing vital importance of tackling climate change, seeking to identify opportunities for the UK and Latin America to work together on a green recovery from the pandemic.

Following Ms. Clouder's talk, the Ambassadors offered their perspectives and questions on this multi-faceted topic.

Canning House is delighted to thank Ms. Clouder and the Ambassadors for the success of this meeting.
