Canning House is pleased to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in STEM!
At this event, Wilson Witzel, Governor of Rio State, discussed the political and economic outlook for Brazil, and Rio in particular. While highlighting issues such as corruption and public security, Mr Witzel was confident that more investment in Brazil's oil & gas industry and greater efforts to halt illegal arms entering the country are some of the measures that will help to improve standard of living and reduce violence. Welcoming words were given by Alan Charlton, Canning House Trustee and former UK Ambassador to Brazil.
