Sustainable Finance in Mexico

  • Canning House, 126 Wigmore Street, London

This event will be an opportunity to discuss innovative initiatives happening around climate finance in Mexico and how the corporate world is using them to invest in a greener future.

Climate change, and how to adapt to it, is of increasing concern to governments and business leaders. Progressively,  consumers around the world are also taking climate change into account in their everyday lives. The financial sector is not foreign to this; shifting to resilient economies demands adapting and developing new financial strategies and investment opportunities. Mexico, one of the largest economies in Latin America and the 15th largest economy in the world, is tackling the problem of how to finance its transition to a low carbon economy and how to best leverage resources from the private sector.

This event will be an opportunity to discuss innovative initiatives happening around climate finance in Mexico and how the corporate world is using them to invest in a greener future.

Canning House is delighted to welcome Andrea Paniagua Borrego, Senior Policy Advisor at E3G, and Nelson Mojarro, SENER (Mexican Secretariat of Energy) representative to the EU, to speak.
