Canning House explores the incredible biodiversity of Latin America, and considers the actions being taken to protect and conserve the region’s natural environment.
Latin American Biodiversity
Latin America is the world’s most biologically diverse region – with millions of species of flora and fauna in the Amazon rainforest alone, it boasts nine countries in the Group of Like-Minded Megadiverse Countries.
In this event, we hear from experts on Latin America’s natural environment on how the region’s biodiversity is being conserved and maintained, and what is being done to address urgent threats to its sustainability.
Canning House's Sustainable Development series of events and conferences focuses on the themes of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals and the aims of the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in a Latin American context. This event addresses we address the SDGs #14 Life Below Water and #15 Life on Land.
