Canning House will be hosting a roundtable with El Salvador's Minister of Economy, María Luisa Hayem Brevé.

ROUNDTABLE

El Salvador's Minister of Economy, María Luisa Hayem Brevé, will be joining Canning House for a roundtable discussion.

The Minister will discuss the measures she has taken regarding the Salvadoran economy. Under her administration, an average GDP growth of 5% has been recorded. She has prioritised the technology sector and introduced strategic alliances to the country, such as a partnership with Google.

Minister María Luisa Hayem Brevé has a distinguished career spanning over 13 years in international development. In 2003, she served as a Counselor for the Permanent Mission of El Salvador to the World Trade Organization (WTO). Later, between 2009 and 2016, she strengthened her professional profile at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and, subsequently, at the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP). In these institutions, she led strategic projects focused on international remittances and innovation, facilitating access to financial services for low-income communities in critical regions such as Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa.
