Canning House will be hosting an exclusive roundtable with the OECD's Head for Latin America, Mario López Roldán. He will discuss the OECD's ongoing work in the region and their goals moving forward.

ROUNDTABLE

Canning House will be convening a roundtable with the Head of the OECD Centre for Latin America and the CaribbeanMario López Roldán.

Mario will present the OECD’s new Strategic Framework for Latin America and the Caribbean, highlighting the Organisation’s priorities - from productivity and social inclusion to governance, sustainability, and resilient value chains for critical minerals and raw materials.

With four Latin American member countries, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico (and Argentina, Brazil and Peru currently in the process of accession) the region’s ties with the OECD continue to expand. Through its Country Programme, Paraguay is also strengthening its collaboration with the Organisation, building on more than three decades of partnership between the OECD and the region.

Mario has served as the Head of the OECD Centre for Latin America and the Caribbean since 2022 and has spent 15 years working within the OECD. Before working within the organisation, he worked for various Mexican Embassies and as an economic consultant.
