Roundtable - Minister Daniel Mas Valdés

Chile’s Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism, and Mining, Daniel Mas Valdés, will join Canning House for a roundtable discussion.

Having taken office in March 2026, Minister Mas Valdés brings a mandate to drive economic growth, attract investment, boost productivity and maximise the potential of key sectors, including mining. This discussion will offer insights into his vision for Chile’s economic future and the opportunities it presents for British businesses.

Daniel Mas Valdés holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering, specialising in Agricultural Economics, from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Over a career spanning more than 30 years, he has worked across the construction, infrastructure, agriculture and financial services sectors, focusing on regional development, investment and public-private collaboration.

The Minister will be joined by Vanessa Severin, InvestChile’s Representative for Europe, who has more than 15 years of experience supporting foreign companies expanding into Latin America, particularly Chile. She will also provide an overview of investment opportunities in the country.
