Roundtable

Looking Ahead to COP30

  • November
  • London

Canning House will be hosting a roundtable in anticipation of COP30 with the Brazilian Ambassador to the UK and the former UK Regional Ambassador to COP26. This event will provide a space to discuss the key issues going into the conference and Brazil's ambitions as the host country.

ROUNDTABLE

As the world turns its attention to COP30 in Belém, Brazil, this roundtable will explore pathways toward a more ambitious and inclusive global climate agenda. Set in the heart of the Amazon, the Ambassador of Brazil to the UK, Antonio Patriota, will outline how COP30 presents a unique opportunity to place biodiversity, Indigenous leadership, and just transitions at the centre of international climate negotiations.

Fiona Clouder, former UK Regional Ambassador, Latin America & Caribbean COP 26, will reflect on lessons learned from previous COPs and highlight priority areas for strengthened international cooperation. Together, the speakers will discuss shared priorities and opportunities for UK-Brazil collaboration in the lead-up to this pivotal global summit.
