The event will begin with a short overview of the firm’s newest report Going Global: Strategy and Execution in Cross-Border M&A, specifically from a Latin American perspective.

Jaime Trujillo is the Managing Partner of Baker & McKenzie's Bogota office, as well as the chair of the Firm's Latin America M&A Practice Group. For more than 20 years, Mr. Trujillo has advised clients on key multinational transactions across various industries, providing legal guidance on matters spanning M&A, infrastructure projects and project financing, as well as private equity and banking & finance for cross-border financing transactions.

Liliana Espinosa, Partner, Baker & McKenzie Peru

Liliana Espinosa is a partner in the Lima office and co-chair of Baker & McKenzie's Corporate and M&A practice in Peru. A seasoned attorney in supporting sophisticated transactions in multiple jurisdictions, Ms. Espinosa has participated in several local and foreign acquisition transactions and sales of companies, assets and shares, as well as private equity transactions and varying types of domestic and international financing. Her experience includes mergers, spin-offs, reorganizations and other complex structures in sectors such as fishery, financial systems, telecommunications, retail and services.

Gustavo Boruchowicz, Partner, Baker & McKenzie Argentina

Gustavo Boruchowicz is the Managing Partner of the Buenos Aires office and serves as coordinator of various teams in the M&A and private equity areas, as well as the Environmental and Climate Change practice groups. Mr. Boruchowicz is a member of Baker & McKenzie’s Latin America M&A and Private Equity Steering Committee, in addition to advising on banking, finance and securities, real estate, general practice and antitrust issues.

Hercules Celescuekci, Partner, Trench, Rossi e Watanabe*

Hercules Celescuekci is a Managing Partner based in Trench, Rossi e Watanabe's São Paulo office where he advises companies on energy law, infrastructure, labor and security matters, as well as M&A. Throughout his career, Mr. Celescuekci has advised energy and gas distribution companies on privatizations in the state of São Paulo, in addition to advising on key matters including the outsourcing of banking activities and personnel and labor aspects in worldwide mergers, among others.

Jaime Munro, Partner, Baker & McKenzie Chile

Jaime Munro is a transactional lawyer with extensive experience in the areas of securities, M&A, project finance and real estate projects. In addition to regularly providing corporate and securities advice to multinational and Chilean companies, Mr. Munro routinely works on venture capital, M&A and private equity transactions, as well as real estate investments, securitizations, corporate finance and major infrastructure projects.

Carlos Delgado, Partner, Baker & McKenzie Venezuela

Carlos Delgado has more than 25 years of experience practicing in the areas of corporate restructuring, project financing, general corporate work and migration. Mr. Delgado has served as coordinator of the Firm’s Corporate Department in Caracas for more than 15 years, and is a member of the Steering Committee of the regional M&A group. He has worked on some of Venezuela’s largest M&A transactions in recent years including matters focused on shareholder agreements, strategic alliances and joint ventures.

Jorge Ruiz, Partner, Baker & McKenzie Mexico

Jorge Ruiz currently heads the Mexico offices’ Corporate M&A group and focuses on M&A, corporate law, banking and finance, real estate development and financing, as well as mining. Throughout his career Mr. Ruiz has participated in acquisitions, sales, mergers and restructurings of Mexican entities in various sectors including automotive, transportation, mining, healthcare, hotel & hospitality and real estate.

Maite Diez, Baker & McKenzie Madrid

Maite is a corporate lawyer with more than 20 years of experience focused mainly on advising multinational companies in a wide range of corporate and M&A transactions, including acquisitions, privatizations and reorganizations. She is a member of the European M&A Steering Committee of Baker & McKenzie, as well as of the Steering Committee of our China/Europe Outbound Initiative.
