Canning House and the APPG for Latin America are pleased to present an update on Covid-19 in Latin America, examining how the effects of the pandemic across economics, politics and health have developed since Canning House's previous session in April.
Covid-19 in Latin America
Since Canning House's previous Update on Covid-19 in Latin America, the pandemic's effects on the region have continued to develop rapidly. Responses to the crisis have differed between countries, with varying implications for markets, politics and health systems.
In September, Canning House and the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Latin America will provide a refreshed assessment of the impacts of Covid-19, and an update to our look ahead at the potential effects of the coronavirus in Latin America.
We are pleased to welcome Mark Menzies MP, Chair of the APPG for Latin America, and Dr Sylvain Aldighieri from the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO), who will join our previous speakers, Ramiro Blazquez from BancTrust & Co. and Dr Alejandro Arenas-Pinto from UCL, to provide an up-to-date overview.
