The next Canning Paper will focus on the predicament currently affecting Venezuela, taking an in-depth analysis of the country’s economy, and political and social situation.

The paper will also consider potential scenarios and implications such as how the policies currently being pursued by the radical leftist PSUV faction will pan out; factional infighting within the PSUV; and opposition winning power –either as a result of a military coup or by electoral means in the December 2018 election.

It will be released in time for this coinciding briefing where its findings will be discussed.

As well as our partners from Latin News, Canning House is delighted to welcome contributors Kate Parker, Huffington Post, and Francisco Toro from Caracas Chronicles to discuss the paper’s findings.

This event is intended for corporate members of Canning House, if you would like to attend please send expressions of interest to events@canninghouse.org.
