with H.E. Carlos Alvarado Quesada

President of the Republic of Costa Rica

Canning House is delighted to announce that H.E. Carlos Alvarado Quesada, President of the Republic of Costa Rica, will deliver a Canning Lecture on 2 November 2021.

Since 1997, the Canning Lecture has been delivered by a visiting Latin American or Iberian President or Head of Government. The Canning Lecture is one of the most high-profile such events in the UK and a unique opportunity to hear from and engage directly with a current Latin American or Iberian leader.

The President's Lecture coincides with his visit to the UK for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow.
