Canning House, in association with Eversheds Sutherland and with the kind support of CAF Development Bank of Latin America, is pleased to announce the 2018 edition of its Renewables Conference: The Clean Energy Sector in Latin America: Trends and Opportunities.
The transition to clean energy has been largely embraced in Latin America, particularly as governments adapt to respond to the requirements of the Paris Agreement. Furthermore, the region’s favourable wind, solar and hydro resources provide significant growth opportunities for national governments, and investment opportunities for international businesses beyond the well-established markets of Brazil and Mexico. This event will be a chance to learn about the clean energy sector in Latin America, drawing on specific experiences and case studies, such as the PPA market in Chile, and Colombia’s new regulatory framework on renewable energy development.
The half-day conference will include panels on revenue schemes for clean energy assets in Latin America, and access to international finance in the region, with contributions from distinguished speakers from both government and the private sector.
