A Look Ahead to the Spanish General Election

In collaboration with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain.

With forthcoming general election in Spain due to take place on 20 December, this event will start from the latest polls forecast to discuss how the different parties are faring in the race.

The event will be moderated by Giles Paxman. Mr. Paxman studied at Oxford University before working for the Department of Environment in 1974. After joining the diplomatic service he has primarily focused on European affairs. From 2009 to 2013 he was Ambassador of United Kingdom in Spain. Also joining us will be Fiona Govan, Editor of The Local (and former Madrid Correspondent for the Telegraph) and Vincenzo Scarpetta, Policy Analyst specializing in the politics and economics of Southern Europe at Open Europe.

Mr Paxman will lead a panel discussion followed by a Q&A and networking drinks.
