Following from the success of 2021’s Renewable Energy event, this year Canning House, in partnership with Eversheds Sutherland, returned to the theme to explore Latin America and the Caribbean’s place in the global energy industry, as well as insights into the advancements in global energy transition within the region as it strives to meet the targets of Sustainable Development Goal 7 Access to Affordable and Clean Energy.

Diversifying power generation resources to renewable technologies has many benefits including power system price stability, infrastructure security, environmental protection, and rural economic development. However, policy and regulatory reforms are needed to help foster the implementation of renewable technologies.
