Ecuador: Investment Opportunities

in partnership with LatAm INVESTOR

Guillermo Lasso's election as president of Ecuador has opened the doors to one of Latin America's most closed economies. For decades, Ecuador's political instability deterred international companies resulting in some of the region's lowest levels of inward foreign direct investment. Yet Ecuador has rich reserves of oil, exciting mining potential and world leading agricultural exports. Lasso's challenge will be to attract the international investors needed to turn those natural resources into economic growth.

On 13 July, Canning House and LatAm INVESTOR explored the opportunities being created by the liberalisation of Ecuador's economy.
