Bringing Argentina and the UK closer

Javier Milei's political and economic programme has captured the attention of UK politicians and businesses. Inflation is down, the deficit is reduced, and Milei's La Libertad Avanza party enjoyed notable successes in the midterm elections.

The UK has more reason to look to Argentina beyond its President: large reserves of shale, lithium, and rare earth minerals offer ample business opportunities for British businesses operating in the region. Furthermore, moving past previous tensions, the UK and Argentina can collaborate on issues of geopolitical security in the South Atlantic.
