Canning Circle Dinner March 2018

On 28th March, Canning House hosted its first Canning Circle Dinner of 2018 at The In & Out Naval and Military Club, St. James. Reserved to our top-tier corporate members, the Circle Dinner is an opportunity for Canning House members to meet in an intimate setting and discuss issues of particular importance off the record.

On this occasion, we were delighted to have Canning House Honorary President Miriam Gonzalez-Durantez deliver a short speech on Brexit. A partner at Dechert LLP specialising in EU trade law policy, she highlighted how important it is that the business community communicate its priorities to the British government for the elaboration of a post-Brexit plan, emphasising of course the potential that Latin America holds as a market. This introductory speech paved the way for frank discussions over dinner amongst the dozen attendees, all Canning House members and close supporters.
