On Tuesday 22nd January Canning House was delighted to welcome Alejandro Werner, the Director of the Western Hemisphere Department at the International Monetary Fund.
Alejandro joined us and several corporate representatives for a breakfast meeting where he shared his insights into Latin America's economic outlook for 2019 and spoke about the IMF’s role in ensuring financial stability. Of particular interest was his insight into the political situation in Argentina in light of the recent IMF intervention and what election year may mean for the country going forward.
