Ambassadorial Briefings at Canning House

  • Constance Malleret

This week, Canning House has been delighted to welcome a number of Her Majesty's Ambassadors to Latin America, who are back in London as part of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office Leadership Week, to speak to our corporate members.

On Tuesday 22nd May, HE Carolyn Davidson, ambassador to Guatemala, HE Thomas Carter, ambassador to Honduras, and HE Bernhard Garside, ambassador to El Salvador, took part in a round-table, discussing the various business opportunities for UK companies in their respective countries.

On Wednesday 23rd May, Canning House welcomed HE Duncan Taylor, ambassador to Mexico, HE Kate Harrisson, recently appointed ambassador to Peru, and HE Peter Tibber, ambassador to Colombia. HM Ambassadors discussed the political landscape and salient issues in light of upcoming elections in Colombia and Mexico, as well as the opportunities for UK business and investment in a post-Brexit world.

These closed-door briefings, a regular Canning House offering, are an opportunity for our corporate members to freely engage in discussion with the UK's ambassadors in post.
