According to the International Copper Association, global refined copper demand is set to double by 2050 relative to 2020 levels, with S&P Global forecasting a significant shortfall of 1.6 million tonnes by 2035. This projected supply gap underscores Latin America’s pivotal role in providing copper for the transition to a low-carbon global economy.
