Canning House and the LSE LACC invited Latin American Ambassadors to a tour of the new LSE Centre Building.

Salary: £36,647 to £44,140 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £47,456 pa inclusive of London allowance
Contract: This is a fixed term appointment for 36 months

This year Canning House and the LSE launched the Canning House Research Forum at the LSE.
The Forum will be hosted by the LSE Latin America and Caribbean Centre and will be a multi-year rolling programme of research and policy engagement around the overarching theme of “The Future of Latin America and the Caribbean” with particular reference to UK-Latin American relations.
Applications are invited from outstanding researchers for a thirty-six month Research Officer post to support the LACC-Canning House Forum. The programme is organised as a series of consecutive projects, of between 12-18 months each, with the first to be focused on trade.
The post-holder will develop the Forum programme, conduct original research, engage with policy-makers, private companies and think-tanks both in the UK and the region, and undertake knowledge exchange through peer review papers, workshop and conference presentations, blogs and social media. The job holder will work under the guidance of the Centre Director.
The Research Officer will have a PhD in Business Studies, Economics, Finance, Geography, International History, International Relations, Management, or another related social science relevant to the successful conduct of the research project and familiarity with research about the United Kingdom’s relationship with Latin America and the Caribbean. The candidate will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
