The Foreign and Commonwealth office and the City of London Corporation invite Canning House Corporate Members to hear the Lord Mayor’s feedback on leading a business delegation to Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Panama and Cuba. The trip, part of a year-long programme, was designed to boost UK-based trade and was arranged in coordination with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).

You will hear the Lord Mayor’s observations on his Latin American missions. His calls included ministers, senior business people, regulators and central bankers. He will offer thoughts on UK business engagement and highlight opportunities available for Latin American companies.

The City of London promotes and supports businesses around the UK. The Lord Mayor, head of the City of London Corporation, has a significant role as an ambassador for the UK-based financial and professional services industry.

Those invited include ambassadors, politicians, representatives from the delegations and others with interests in the region.

Members will have an opportunity to ask questions and make comments.
