Generation of '92: El Salvador’s Road Map to Sustained Peace

  • SCI Belgrave Square, 14/15 Belgrave Square, London

Twenty-five years ago, with the signing of the Peace Accords, El Salvador ended a protracted internal conflict and set in place the institutional architecture needed to build a sustained peace.  To reflect on the legacy of the Agreements, and looking ahead to the future, a panel of five young Salvadorans will share their visions for the way forward.

As Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the United Nations said, during the XXIII Anniversary of El Salvador Peace Accords: "The Accords remind us that peace is a process – it must be built every day".

Canning House and the Embassy of El Salvador cordially invites you to share with the "Generation of '92" their views on maintaining the legacy of the Peace Accords through dialogue and reconciliation.

We are delighted to welcome His Excellency Néstor Osorio, Ambassador of Colombia to the UK to participate as moderator of the panel.

This event will be held in Spanish.
