Canning House will be releasing its next Canning Paper later this month on the implications of 'Brexit' for UK-Latin America business, trade and investment. Following its release this corresponding round-table will discuss its findings and analyse the wider picture in detail.

Some of the issues that the paper and this round-table will look at include:

- Various post-Brexit “trade models” the UK could aim for (Norwegian, Turkish, Swiss, “pure WTO” for example)

- The view from Latin America on the impact of Brexit

- Different calculations on what Brexit may do to growth in Latin America

- Analyses of trade policy by the three main blocs - Mercosur, Andean/Pacific and Mexico/NAFTA

- Post-Brexit thinking on UK-Latam trade

We are delighted to welcome from our partners for this paper, Latin News, Editors Andrew Thompson and Eileen Gavin, as well as contributors from Baker & McKenzie, who are corporate members of Canning House, Partners Beatriz Araujo and Esteban Ropolo, to lead the discussion at this round-table event.

This event is intended for corporate members of Canning House, if you would like to attend please send expressions of interest to [email protected]
