Book Launch: Central American and Caribbean Short Stories by Eduardo de Benito

  • Canning House, 14/15 Belgrave Square, London

“Life is stranger than fiction” – the old adage is present with humour and wit in this delightful collection of five short stories based partly in real stories and partly on fictional situations placed in Panama, Venezuela and Belize, among others, by Eduardo de Benito.

De Benito worked for many years in London as a broadcaster and features presenter for the BBC World Service, and as a London correspondent for Spanish political weeklies.  The son of Spanish exiles from Franco’s regime, he was brought up in Bogotá, Mexico City and Paris.  He is the author of two books in Spanish and his first novel in English, “Only a Little Protocol”, was published in 2011.  He now lives, writes, sails and walks in North Norfolk.

A short introduction by the author will be followed by drinks.

Book will be on sale at a 20% discount to those who attend this launch.
