For Schools and Colleges
Canning House periodically runs educational workshops for Schools and Colleges with an interest in Latin American issues. Our popular half-day session focusing on the rich flora and fauna of the Galapagos Islands has previously proved a hit with Key Stage 2, 3 and 4 pupils and develops pupils' understanding of core concepts such as evolution and adaptation, and human impacts on the unique geography of the Galapagos.
Canning House's focus on promoting Spanish and Portuguese language ability is also incorporated within the workshop, with attention paid to the relevant vocabulary and structures which students will need to discuss the major Workshop themes in their chosen second language(s) of study.
We do not have a regular programme of Workshops in place but instead deal with enquiries on an individual basis. We welcome your enquiry, which should be addressed to our Education and Outreach department, as below:
